Skin Boosters

SKIN BOOSTERS

Skin Boosters are especially designed to deliver deep skin hydration. The treatments involves hydrating microinjections of a soft, gel-like substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA) into the skin, which improves the skin’s elasticity, firmness and radiance.

HA is found naturally in the body where it maintains hydration in the skin. As we age the quality of our HA diminishes over time. Skin Boosters replenish and maintain natural hydration levels from within as the stabilised HA continues to work over several months.

Skin Boosters are versatile treatments that can be used by men and women of all skin types and all ages.

FabYourself use Profilo, Sunekos & Jalupro.

An initial course of 3 treatments is recommended, followed by maintenance treatments once or twice a year.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo® is a unique skin remodelling treatment that works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin in the skin through the slow release of Hyaluronic Acid (HA).

Unlike other anti-ageing injectables that use fillers to add volume and stretch out the skin, Profhilo uses Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the body to hydrate, firm and actually rebuild new, younger-looking skin cells.

This works on reversing the signs of ageing at a cellular level, stimulating new collagen and elastin cells, significantly improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and giving you firmer, more youthful skin on your face.

With dermal fillers, the results tend to be very localised because the gel only stays in the area in which it has been injected. However Hyaluronic Acid is different. Once injected it disperses evenly throughout the skin, so the effects are visible throughout your whole face, giving a much more even anti-ageing result.

What Problems Can Profhilo Help With?

Profhilo is an excellent anti-ageing treatment, clinically proven to help with a wide range of ageing symptoms. It acts as a hydrator rather than a traditional dermal filler, and is therefore fantastic for those with tired, dull and ageing skin, as it provides overall more plump and luminous skin.

Examples of some of the signs of ageing that Profhilo can be used for include:

  • Wrinkles such as crows feet, smoker’s lines, smile lines and frown lines.

  • Saggy, loose skin – on your face, decolletage, neck, arms or hands.

  • Dull, dehydrated looking skin.

  • Sunken skin that needs more volume.

What is Sunekos?

Sunekos is a new injectable treatment containing a patented formula of amino acids and Hyaluronic acid. It regenerates the Extra Cellular Matrix (ECM) by stimulating the fibroblasts in the skin to produce a complete mix of collagen and elastin. This Treatment is a great option for clients who wish to maintain a more natural look, or those who do not want or need anti-wrinkle injections or fillers.

There are two formulations of the product available;

  • Sunekos 200 (Hyaluronic Acid low molecular weight)

  • Sunekos 1200 (Hyaluronic Acid medium molecular weight)

How does Sunekos work?

Sunekos is an injectable treatment that contains a patented formula of amino acids and hyaluronic acid, essential to skin laxity. It regenerates the skin from the inside-out by prompting the production of fibroblasts, which then instigates collagen and elastin production, for improved skin quality.

It is an extremely versatile product and can be used on the; face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, inner thighs, knees and the under-eye area. Sunekos can treat various indications, including; loss of tone, skin ageing and premature skin ageing, skin dryness, solar elastosis, acne scarring, sun damage, dark circles under the eyes and fine lines and wrinkles. Sunekos offers two different treatment options for skin regeneration, which can be performed separately or in combination – Sunekos 200 and Sunekos 1200.

Sunekos 200 can be used alone to treat the face, neck, décolletage and hands and is great for younger people. If additional ‘cushioning’ is required in the case of lax, sagging skin, volume loss or deeper lines and wrinkles, then the Sunekos 1200 can be combined to give extra scaffold support for the dermal biogenesis.

What are Skin Boosters?

Skin Boosters are especially designed to deliver deep skin hydration. The treatment involves hydrating microinjections of a soft, gel-like substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA) into the skin, which improves the skin's elasticity, firmness and radiance.

How does it work?

Skin Boosters are basically like injecting moisturiser into your skin. It’s the newest non-invasive cosmetic treatment promising brighter, bouncier and more even textured skin, without the stiffness or potential pillowy pitfalls of the likes of botox and dermal fillers. Basically, injectable moisturisers are intended to make your skin look and feel better, but don’t change the shape, volume or muscle movement of your face. Injectable skin boosters are becoming one the most booked treatments up and down the land.

How Injectable Moisturisers differ from Fillers & Botox

Firstly, the objectives of ‘moisture jabs’ differ from the volumising and muscle freezing effects of fillers and Botox, and advances in chemistry have allowed aesthetic experts to deliver hyaluronic acid in a whole new way, for skin health gains as well as appearance related appeal. Dr Acharya explains why injectable moisturisers are in a different field to more well-known injectables:

“The type of hyaluronic acid and the way it is formed differs from the hyaluronic acid delivered into skin by regular fillers. Traditional hyaluronic acid based dermal fillers have chemical bonds that give them properties that enable the augmentation of tissues via a lifting and volumizing effect when injected into specific areas. This allows corrective restoration of tissues. Injectable moisturisers or hydrators contain a form of hyaluronic acid that is produced in a different way to traditional methods, allowing the hyaluronic acid to disperse evenly in the injected plane of the skin, which instantly enhances hydration as well as stimulating multilevel ‘dynamic remodelling’ in the living layer of the skin Unlike fillers or Botox, they do not shape or volumise the tissues.”

The hyaluronic acid in injectable moisturisers is more viscous than the kind you’ll find in a dermal filler, and the runnier gel texture means that it can be distributed across the face (or body) more evenly, improving skin hydration and cell function from within while providing subtle, universal skin rejuvenation, without the static effect that fillers and Botox can produce. It’s more free-flowing texture also makes it ideal for treating trickier areas such as hands, necks and the décolletage.

“One of my favourite areas for hyaluronic acid skin boosters are the hands. Hands can start to look bony and sinewy when we get older- a ‘deflating’ experience that’s easy to fix with HA (hyaluronic acid) skin boosters. In contrast to thicker fillers, there is no risk of ending up with a dreaded ‘pillow hand’. In my opinion, it’s important to maintain the natural appearance of visible movement of tendons, rather than burying them under a thick layer of filler, which looks weird and unnatural."

“Don’t forget about the neck and chest too- these are great indications for HA skin boosters. Remember that a congruent expression is important, so we musn’t treat the face in isolation ignoring other exposed skin areas such as hands and chest.”
